A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE WORLD BANK GROUP AND THE GOVERNMENTS OF UNITED KINGDOM, AUSTRALIA AND NORWAY
The program results framework is structured around the two major components of the overall program each of which have two sub-components:
Component 1: Building Cooperation and Governance
Systematic dialogue – support multi-stakeholder, multi-country water resources dialogue.
Learning and capacity building – support learning and capacity development that strengthen water resources governance and institutions.
Component 2: Supporting Knowledge and Investments
Technical analyses to guide policy development – strengthen the knowledge-base underpinning water resources policy, development and management.
Investment design – improve the approach to planning and investment in water resources infrastructure.
The connections from SAWI activities up to the project development objective are shown in Figure 1. The SAWI role changes up this hierarchy: from “directing” activities, through “contributing” to outputs and outcomes, to “influencing” the ultimate development objective. The program results framework is presented in Table 1. SAWI will report progress annually to donors against its results framework.
